The last one ~~

I hope this is my last time to do blog because I do not want to come back to LEAP 4 and do it once again…however, it doesn’t mean that I will forget everything which happened in LEAP program. So many things need to be remembered.
First, I want to appreciate the friends who leave messages in my blog~~ I wish that I could invite them for dinner… but I lack of money during this month…sorry about that~~
Second, I’d love to say thanks to all my instructors. No matter you give me A, B, C or D, I am glad that you can read my terrible writing and accepted my quizzes which full of mistakes…I hate my poor grammar…

forgive me~~ and please, please, please let me pass at the same time on my final exam!! I beg…
Third, thanks all the other things and people that I didn’t appreciate yet~~ I know I am lazy…
Anyway, I hope everybody in LEAP 4 can pass the horrible final exam and have a wonderful life on campus during next several years. The people who will go back to their own countries, I wish you good luck~~ that’s it… enjoy my last blog…

Reminiscing~~~

Today is the third last day of this semester, it means that after this week and three days of the exam, I am going to leave LEAP program. Of course I need to pass the final exam if I want to successfully leave this program and start my undergraduate study. In today’s listening and speaking class, we focus on speculations and reminiscing. I started to remember many particular things which happened in my life when I came to Canada. This is my first time to stay away from my family for such a long time; however, I never feel alone during these months because I made lots of new friends in LEAP program. Many of whom are from different countries. We had pizza party, BBQ; we watch movie, visit Peru exhibition; every thing will be stored in my mind and I’ll never forget them! I also remember the new experiences I had in Calgary; the first time to take c-train (we do not know how to buy tickets), the first time to eat free ice-cream on campus, the first time to have a part time job and try to earn money by myself and so on. There are so many first time after my 18th birthday because I came to Calgary! Now, it is my first time to rent a house and first time to live with my friends. I hope everything can become shining in my life after I make efforts on them. I will keep on doing what I can do to live in Calgary for last four or five years with the people who support me, and gain more precious reminiscing in the future. If I past LEAP program on this month, I will miss all the things in this program so much…But I still want to pass ^_^

Hate waiting for Bus!!!

If u ask me what is the feature of the Calgary bus system? I will always burst out the same answer without hesitate; furthermore, the answer is solely one word----- late. This is a kind of phenomenon I can not tolerate. Even though there are great amount of factors which can determine buses to be late, to be late is unacceptable. A late bus, however, can harm people’s health and emotion.
First of all, keep waiting for a bus, which seems will never arrived is considered as a kind of suicide in the winter of Calgary. People, waiting for bus, always do not have very heavy jacket because they believe in the schedule which they heard in the cell phone. Therefore, they probably stand at the bus station until they freeze to death or faint.
In addition to harm people’s health, it can also cause emotions breaking up. For instance, when people decide to wait for a bus in Calgary, they decide to take a test of patience as well…For instance, I had two experiences like that which happened in the same day! The bus number 9 and 407, I cursed them for almost three hours until they came and I sware that I will never give up to curse those late buses! I believed that late buses are able to destroy people’s patience and make them crazy easily.
Finally, in order to keep a healthy body and a normal emotion, people had better buy their own cars as quickly as possible.

The wonderful man I met in Calgary~~~

Last Thursday, I met a really nice old man whose name is called Bruse(I don't know how to spell his name...). We started to know him is because my friend Megan need a mattress for her new room. However, just as someone reminded, if people want to buy a new double bed, it may cost almost 500 dollars. None of us want to spend that much money. Fortunately, we heard some information from our friends about a person who can send free mattress in order to help international students. We tried to phone him as soon as possible when we got his phone number, and he quickly agreed to find one mattress for Megan! We waited him until Thursday, when we began to worry about that he may not show up, he gave a phone call to us. He mentioned that he had a meeting on each Thursday, and he was able to send us the mattress now. He is awesome because he came to our dorm to wait for us and drove us to our apartment which located in downtown. Mr. Bruse is his name, he is really a enthusiastic person who always worried about what helps we need. We were so lucky to know this kind old man!!

Finding furniture for my first home in Calgary (Ⅱ)

According to my last blog, many people should basically know what I am doing during these few days: finding furniture. I felt really hard and difficult to find second hand furniture which I loved on time. Even though sometimes second hand furniture is old, it still holds an intense competition between people like us. So, as I mentioned before, we’ll try to buy some cheap and new furniture by ourselves this time. The best place which is recommended by most of my friends is IKEA. I’d love to go there even though it is far away from our dorms because I had been the same company before which holds in China, it is a really nice choice and most of the furniture there are cheap and beautiful. I went there on Saturday with my friend Megan by taking c-train and bus. It took us a long time to find the right location. When we arrived IKEA, we spent almost five hours to find the furniture, to consider which is best for us to buy and to carry them by ourselves downstairs. At last, we were so glad to buy a pretty glass table with four chairs by just spent 99 dollars, a white coffee table which cost 29 dollars only, two big desks which hold the lowest price in Calgary and some other staffs. We spent no more than 500 dollars to buy all the furniture for our apartment, that travel is really a big harvest for us!

Finding furniture for my first home in Calgary (Ⅰ)

This week is the busiest weeks for me because I found my lovely apartment successfully last week with two of my best friends. As a result, we need to prepare our furniture now. The first way for us to find some cheap and nice furniture is that find them on the internet; however, most of them are second hand furniture. We were still glad when we were able to seek them on line and made appointments with the owners. Afterward, we tasted our tough lives……the reason is that we went to several houses which were really far away from the university, but still cannot gain anything. Most of the furniture which we like are bought or sent to others because they have cars…in contrast; we went to the owners’ houses by taking buses or c-train. How pitiful we are!! We were so said when we knew that the furniture were sold out after we arrived the destinations hardly. Nevertheless, most of the owners are really kind. They always drove us back home automatically without hesitations when they knew that we went there by buses. Those behaviors gave us confidences again because we knew that most of the people are glad to help us, and many of them are really kindhearted. Maybe we’ll try to buy some cheap and new furniture by ourselves next time.

Bad luck!

I woke up really early this morning because I had to phone the apartment company to find the house. I was so lucky to hear the answer from the officer that there is only one 2 bedrooms apartment left. The reason is that it is so difficult for people to find a cheap apartment in downtown like that. As a result, I made an appointment as soon as possible; however, after 9am, my bad luck came. The apartment company said that they were not allowed to show us the apartment until next week and they didn’t know the date that they can show it to us. It made me worried about if we cannot rent it on time.
Then, I had nothing to do at that time, so, I decided to go to the admission office to change my faculty. There was another bad news waiting for me; the officer said that I owned money for this winter semester! That is impossible because I already got the receipt when I paid for it!! Afterwards, I had to go back to the dorm in this cold winter (It was snowing outside!) in order to get my receipt. When I went back and show them the receipt, they found that the cheque didn’t work. It meant that I had to pay it again. The most terrible things happened now in case I found that my visa card doesn’t work……
As a result……I didn’t finish anything in this morning……and there are so many things left for me to deal with……
